  • What skate sizes are available for rental?

    The smallest skate size is 9 for children, while the largest is 13 for adults.

  • Are there waiting lines for access to the rink?

    There may be a waiting time during the rink's busiest periods. These can vary between 30 and 45 minutes during the holiday season and CSDM spring break. To avoid these busy times, we suggest you visit the Atrium Le 1000 from opening until 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to closing. Please note that you must purchase your ticket in advance via the web platform. No tickets sold on site.

  • Can monitors keep an eye on our young children?

    No. Children aged 6 and under must be supervised by chaperones on the ice. Children aged 7 to 12 must be accompanied, but the adult may remain in the "Family Zone" while the child skates.

  • Can the instructors show me how to skate?

    No. Instructors must remain available at all times to supervise rink activities. L'Atrium Le 1000 offers skating lessons for children and adults, please visit the section Skating lessons for more information.

  • If I'm accompanying skaters but not skating myself, can I set up near the rink?

    Yes, if you don't have a ticket for yourself, you won't be able to stay in the skaters' area, but you will be able to use the food court surrounding the rink, as well as the family zone.

  • Are there any restaurants near the rink?

    Yes, the rink is surrounded by a food court. Please consult the list of available restaurants in the section Eat.

  • Can I bring my lunch to the rink?

    Yes, you can bring your lunch and use the tables and chairs in the food court to enjoy your meal. However, you may not eat or drink on the ice. It's also forbidden to move furniture in the food court, or have birthday parties with cake and decorations.

  • Can I buy passes?

    Yes, please go to the Atrium Le 1000 box office between Wednesday and Friday before 5pm.

  • Are we allowed to bring our field hockey sticks and pucks?

    No. The rink is not designed for this type of equipment.

  • Is it compulsory to wear a helmet?

    Helmets have been compulsory since June 1, 2024. Ski, roller or snowboard helmets are accepted, but bicycle helmets are not.

  • What is the minimum age for skating at the Atrium Le 1000 rink?

    Approximately 3 years old. All children must wear skates to access the rink. A limited number of learning aids are available and can be borrowed free of charge if traffic permits. Strollers, sleds and other transport equipment are not permitted on the ice.

  • Do you mind if we bring our double-bladed skates? our learning aids?

    Yes to double-bladed skates. Our skate rental service does not offer double-bladed skates. A chaperone must supervise children using double-bladed skates at all times on the ice.

    No to training aids. For safety reasons, strollers, sleds and personal easy-skater carriers are not allowed on the rink. Learning aids are available on site, depending on traffic.

  • My kids and I don't know how to skate, so can we still visit?

    Yes, there are no prerequisites. For children under 54" high, we lend a limited number of learning aids free of charge. For children above this limit and for adults, there is a handrail at the perimeter of the ice on which to stand.

  • Can we bring our own skates?

    Yes, you can bring your skates and use the sharpening service available at 9.00 $ or take advantage of the full rental service available on site.

  • Do I have to book in advance?

    Admission is limited, so a ticket purchased online in advance guarantees your entry. If you don't have a reservation, you run the risk of being turned away due to overcrowding.

  • What payment methods are available?

    Cash, Interac, Visa and Mastercard.

  • Is admission to the skating rink at an hourly rate?

    No. Admission is valid until closing time.

  • Is there on-site parking? How much does it cost?

    Yes, access is via rue de la Cathédrale and the exit is on rue Mansfield. Parking is 7.00 $ with the purchase of a skating session. Please bring your parking coupon to the rink to obtain the reduced rate.

  • Which metro station is closest?

    The Le 1000 building is directly linked to the Bonaventure metro station (line 2 - Orange). From the station, follow the signs to the Atrium Le 1000 skating rink.
