Skating Instructor — Children (Ages 4 to 12)

Atrium Le 1000 Part-time · up to 12 hours/week September to July 20 $ to 37 $

THE TEAM

Atrium Le 1000 is the busiest indoor skating rink in the city. Overlooked by a massive glass dome that lets in the sun's rays, it is located on the ground floor of downtown Montreal's tallest building. A pleasant temperature, a warm atmosphere, diverse activities, and group lessons for children and adults complement the numerous small eateries. In an enchanting setting, our skilled and motivating coaches teach skating skills to various groups.

Tasks

Teaching curriculum skills using progress monitoring
Evaluate the skills according to the methods described in the instructor's manual
Comply with the curriculum
Providing skaters with a fun and encouraging learning environment
Facilitating activities for students
Preparing lesson plans
Fill out end-of-session report cards and diplomas

Required qualifications

Strong skating skills (Star 4 level and above / Skate Canada Junior Silver and above is an asset)
Teaching experience (an asset)
Animation or teaching experience
16 and older
French and English spoken
Team spirit, sense of responsibility, reliability
Dynamism, punctuality and creativity
